I had so much fun doing this home decor project . . .it's featured as my weekly challenge at Croppin' Paradise, and it is also my extra project for the Studio 101 Blog! I found this quote on a giant chalkboard in a scrap store in Twin Falls this summer . . . the quote spoke to me and wanted to be represented in my home! I had a giant shaped piece of chipboard that I knew would make the perfect home for the quote. I started with white paint, misted black cherry, silver, and clear to get the background. I then lettered the quote in with black marker. I added the felt flowers and sparkly bits of stickled flourishes. To finish it, I added the butterflies and the ribbon on which to hang the piece! I love it, and it is displayed proudly in my new scrap space!!

Croppin' Paradise Reveal

This month . . . one of our DT assignments was to create projects using the Nikki Sivils lines that were released this summer . . . I was lucky and got to create with one of the Christmas lines . . . they were sooo much fun! I created 6 different cards and had an absolute blast . . . the colors combo is so much fun and the embellishments are perfect. I made all these cards and I only had 3 sheets of paper and one sheet of stickers! Not much product . .. but look at all that I created!! I added some different ribbons . . . some bling . . . some stamps . . . and a sparkle here or there! It was a lot of fun!!

Sept. 19th Studio 101 Challenge

This week at Studio 101, we had a guest challenger: Lain Ehmann . . . she challenged us to use holiday stuff on a page (specifically Christmas & Halloween) on a layout that's NOT about a holiday! Here's my page about my brother's giant shoes . . . I tried to make it look like the snowman was talking!! It was definitely a giant step out of my box!! Have fun!

Hey Peeps . . . I'm coming at you from my new scrap space bringing you not one but TWO CHALLENGES!! I love it when this happens! I created the layout below for this week's challenge to scrap a LANDMARK OF YOUR CITY at Studio 101. I scrapped my high school . . . the landmark is the dome . . . that giant white thing in my picture . . . everyone in the valley knows this shape! It's crazy! Then I created the above sketch for the below layout for the sketch challenge this week at Croppin' Paradise! It was so much fun! I love the ribbon bits and the misted stars! I matted the picture 3 times because they are the school colors .. . it would be great to see different patterns! Just have fun!

For the Studio 101 challenge, the team was asked to find two of the ugliest papers and create a layout with them! My two papers in their orginal form are shown in the first picture. My layout is the challenge for the CP team this week. Create a layout about your dreams (or someone else's dreams) using my dream as the title of your layout. I was inspired by a short article in the latest Vanity Fair magazine written by Michael Kors entitled "My Dream".

Just Breathe . . .

So it's been a crazy summer for me . . . and it's almost over. I will be starting school again on Monday, and I think that I'm actually looking forward to it!

The girls and I have been busy moving into our new home, which happens to be directly across the street from where I work, for the past few weeks. I love it, and so do the girls. We have even acquired our very own new pet . . . Benji, a 6-year old pug with whom we've all fell madly in love with. It's been fun painting, decorating, and making this space one that my girls are comfortable with and one that shouts, "Andrea lives here!" I have almost finished unpacking all the boxes and re-arranging everything . . . I hope to have it all done by Sunday!

I'm trying to Just Breathe and take it all in before the madness called school starts!
For now, I'm going to leave you with some pictures of projects that I had completed right before moving:

I can't believe it's July 23rd already! The time is FLYING by . . . I'm crazy busy with a cropping camp at Croppin Paradise . . . come check it out . . . it's soo much fun! Plus, the challenges at Studio 101 are back in my life and I've missed them! The only problem . . . I'm in a state of limbo right now! I'm going to be moving in 2-3 weeks (so excited) and my divorce will be finalized . . . sometime in the near future. It's been a rough, rough year for me, but I'm optimistic that things will be better . . .will get better . . . and that I will be a better mom, woman, and friend! I'm so glad that I have such good friends and this awesome hobby . . .

I love that she's dragging her babies around to all the hot spots in the yard!

I love me some pink and green flowers! Notice the bee as well! Awesome!

My mom let her have some roses and she promptly went in and shared the love with my dad and her sister!

National Scrapbook Day Fun!

Okay . . . let me preface this by saying . . . it's been a long time since I scrapped. I'm totally out of my groove and so these pages are not my best work. There have been a lot of changes happening in my life, and so after about a month long vacation . . . these are my latest works!

This is a layout that I did using some awesome products from the American Craft Heat Wave Collection! I would love to use them again in so great summer layouts. The colors are so bright and cheery . . . like the umbrella my daughter is holding! Check out these products in the Croppin' Paradise store!

This is a layout that I did using some old school KI Elsie stuff that one of my friend's got me for Christmas . . . I LOVE the pink and the flower is made out of the adhesive fabric paper!!

This is another layout using the AC Heat Wave paper . . . I had so much fun!

This is a layout that I did using the Cosmo Cricket Joyride papers and goodies (pick this up at Croppin' Paradise)! It was also my first attempt at using masking tape in a layout! I added some Glimmer Mist to pull off the look!

This layout is using the Little Yellow Bicycle Gen Z papers and stickers . . . I love the stickers!! Pick some up at Croppin' Paradise!!

This is a birthday card using more Gen Z stuff! It's for my cousin who is a die hard snowboarder! He's going to love it!

This a sample of 3 of the 12 cards that I made for some Mother's Day gifts. I just used kraft paper, some cardstock and hand colored stamped butterfly images! They were quick and easy! I ended up having enough cards to make 2 card sets. See the cards in the container below:

This last card is a cute one that I did using scraps from the AC Heat Wave collection!

As you can see . . . I was a busy girl yesterday! Hope your NSD was great!

Sketch Challenge at Croppin' Paradise

This week at Croppin' Paradise . . . I am in charge of creating a sketch and a layout! This was so much fun for me!! I love the layout that I created! I used products from the Basic Grey Line Nook and Pantry. The colors and patterns are so much fun! There are still products available in the store . . . so check them out!

I loved adding the butterflies with the bling . . . two of my favorite things!

This big "E" was a fun touch to add with the other little details. I'll admit . . . I even strayed a bit from my sketch . . . by that's the fun thing about sketches . . . you can use whatever elements of the sketch inspire you to created something wonderful!

This one is from the Crop though!! You had to create a layout using a sketch . . . here's my layout! I love it!!

This layout was inspired by an actual conversation heart! Hence the title!! I love this collage of my girls in their dance uniforms!!

So with a touch of sadness I started and completed my final project for Craft Warehouse! I had such a wonderful time creating projects and I LOVED all of the awesome products that I got to work with! I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart! I hope to try out for the team again in 2 years!!

We got to use the K & Co Cara Marie Handmade collection! Let me tell you this . . . theses products ROCK!! They are so bright and cheerful plus they are matched with KRAFT paper which is one of my favorite things to scrap with!! We had to create 2 tags . . . the one above is my fav!!
A 12 x 12 layout that was colorful!! I love those giant flowers!!
And one that was vintage! I loved working with the background!!

Okay . . . so the cards above were created using the AWESOME Nook and Pantry line by Basic Grey . . . man . . . I SO LOVED working with this line. The colors and patterns are so great!! My favorite was the cupcake papers!! So much fun!!
In my next layout I used Prima Tropical papers, flowers, and bling!! (I found it at the Croppin' Paradise Store . . . check it out!!) I came up with this design by using a sketch that I found at Sketchy Thursdays . . . I used the 1.21.10 sketch . . . I loved using the circles . . .I had a blast!!

Studio 101 Jan. 16th Challenge

I sanded the edges of the photo
inked the edges of almost everything else . . .
I even used my trusty edge distressor on the tags and the bird!
I also inked the flowers and then threw in some handwritten journaling!

Cards for St. Jude . . .

Well . . . one day about a week ago I was blog hopping around when I came across Winter Sim's blog: http://winterwonderlandcrafter.blogspot.com/

She had this to say:
A year ago this January 14, I started my blog. So for my 'blogversary', I decided to celebrate the whole month of January, and do something for others. My family and I are going on vacation in February and as I was making plans for that, the Lord showed me that St. Jude Hospital was right on our way and He laid on my heart to do what I love and make cards for the patients there! I felt a little overwhelmed at first, because they see about 200 patients a day, but I soon felt that the Lord will provide the cards. I believe if we all pull together, we can make this happen. It is so sad to think of all the sick children there. So I am hoping that it will bring a smile to their face and a little more love in their hearts, when they receive their card on Valentine's Day. My family and I will be dropping off all of the cards to St. Jude Hospital in Tennessee, so please send them to me at the address below.

I was was suddenly inspired to create cards using the Basic Grey Sugar Rush line from Croppin' Paradise and here are the cards that I created:

One Little Word . . .

So there's this awesome scrapper named Ali Edwards . . . I'm sure none of you have heard of her . . . ya right!! Anyway, she does this activity called One Little Word where you pick one word to focus on over the course of a year . . . it's pretty cool. Check out her blog if you're interested!!
I've chosen my word . . .

Heidi Swapp . . . another not so famous scrapper . . . hee hee . . . has this awesome freebie at the House of 3 site that lets you print out a list of 10 and then has a sister page that talks about goals for 2010 and I figured it was a perfect addition to my layout!!

Here are my goals:
1. play more with Em and Soph
2. play more in my scrap space
3. play more with my HONEY
4. play more chess
5. play more exercise DVDs
6. play more music REALLY loud
7. play more in the classroom with my students
( like with science experiments and art projects)

Studio 101 Dec. 1 Challenge . ..

Here’s the first December challenge for you to get stuck into. Remember, you don’t have to use all 3 parts, but you get extra brownie points if you do!

Your layout should be based on the theme of childhood – it can be your own or someone elses.
Use a frame of some kind in the design of your layout
Use layers – can be paper, ribbon, whatever you like, but layer it up!

Okay for this layout . . . I had to incorporate scalloped edges . . . I don't have very many, but I did find some stickers that I cut up and used on this layout of Andrew!!
For this layout . . . I only had 30 mins and that was to find all of the stuff, the picture and then to scrap it!! Whew!!
Oh this one, I had to use the color pink . . . the word "memories" in the title, as well as use a 5 x 7 picture!!
This is one of my favorites so far . . .I had to use kraft as the background with a pop of color . . . my color came from Basic Grey and the flowers, floss, and butterflies I used!!
For this challenge, we had to scrap our favorite place . . .mine is the coast with my family. I used MME products!! It was soo fun!!

For this layout, I had to incorporate hidden journaling . . .mine is the white sheet of paper that's peeking out from the blue paper!!

Happy Halloween

Here's your black cat (me), ghost (Patrick) and the two adorable witches!! We stopped at Marcy's house and met up with a monkey . . . .

He's so adorable!!

We made it to all of our stops . . . my neck was killing me by the time we left Patrick's parents' house . . . weird!! It feels much better today, but it's still quite sore!

Croppin' Paradise Reveal

I love how this simple project turned out!! I used some scrap chipboard that I had laying around and covered it in Little Yellow Bicycle's Trick or Treat paper. I cut the pumpkin, bats, and ghosts from another piece in the collection. I added the title with a combination of Thicker letters and Labeling tape. I added some flourishes with my Papertry Ink Flourish stamps and some Zing embossing powder! Glued on a strip of scalloped cardstock and then added the ribbon! Easy, fun, and very festive!! Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Trunk or Treat

These two spooky witches and I were invited to a Halloween Trunk or Treat Party on Saturday night at my friend, Kay's house. There was hot dogs and chili along with good friends and lots of fun!! The witches are casting a magical spell on me . . . they were saying Bibbity Bobbity BOO!! Too cool!

Here Em and her friend Ben are playing on the swing set!! They had a blast!

Em's injury . . . she was jumping off a hay bale and bit it on the concrete . . . good thing Kay has a supply of Band Aids!!

The kids enjoying their stashes of candy from the trunk or treating!! It was so much fun!

Two Posts in one Day!!

These are the projects that I had to create for Craft Warehouse! I had sooo much fun this month! We got to use some awesome products from American Crafts: cardstock, patterned papers, stamps, flair buttons, buttons (glittered and regular), and rub-ons!! Part of our assignment was to alter a picture frame . . . I created the one above and the one below!

We also had to create 3 different cards and one had to include a photo . . . this part was my favorite part of the whole assignment!!

Then we had to create a layout!!

Okay to start off with the layout pictured above is my reveal for Croppin' Paradise!! I got to use the Three Bugs in a Rug Let it Snow line! I love the papers and embellishments!!

The next card and layout were my Stdio 101 Oct. 1st challenge:

Your layout can ONLY use hand cutting. No trimmers, punches or die-cutters allowed!
Use at least 3 different patterned papers on your page
You must make a card and a handmade embellishment with the leftover supplies from your layout.

The last layout is the Oct. 16th Studio 101 challenge . . . this is one of the funnest layouts I've done . . . I had a great time creating this layout . . .

You must use (at least) 1 new and 1 old sheet of patterned paper on your layout.
Use glimmer mist or a technique to get a similar effect on your layout.
The subject of your layout must be YOU!

I've been creating other projects that I'll post later . . . I'm not quite finished with them all yet. School has been busy as usual! It's the end of the quarter next Friday so it will be a qeekend filled with report cards!!

So my scrappy friends over at JuJu Bee's have been having an on-line crop this weekend and it's been so much fun completing their challenges!! The above card is one that I created for a challenge called So Sketchy. I just had to create a card from a sketch . . . I used Fancy Pants products!

This was a card that I created using another card sketch . . . I used Piggy Tale Mary, Mary for this card!
For this layout I had to make a list of my favorite things from this summer and then use it in my journaling!
For this one I had to use the JuJu Bee colors: red, white, black, and yellow!!
For this layout, I had to use the colors orange and brown in a layout!
For this layout, I had to scrap the first day of school!!
This layout had to have a flourish and a two color title . . . and the crazy to the bubble chaser and there's the two color title!!
For this layout I had to use a giant circle!!

It's been so much fun and I've been getting a lot of stuff finished . . . it feels good being so creative!

Hello all . . . I've been holding onto these pictures for a while by accident and I just realized today while I was working in my studio that I hadn't posted them yet!! OOPS!! Anyhow . . . I created this layout for the September 1st Studio 101 Challenge . . . Here's the info:

1. Focus your layout on something from your daily routine. (We see bubbles at our house almost everyday!!) This can be a whole day, or just one item you use or someone you see every day.
2. You can journal as much or as little as you like, but you should answer the following questions within it: “who or what?”; “when?”; “where?”; and “why?”. (I incorporated this info in my journaling cluster!!)
3. You can use no “bought” patterned paper – you must make your own patterned paper! Paint it, stamp it, or do something else creative! (I totally stamped this paper by hand using Tim Holtz Distressing inks, Papertrey Ink stamps and My Favorite Things stamps . . .one of my friends was looking to see who made the paper while I was showing her the layout . . . hee hee!)

Made this cute card using scraps from the Piggy Tales Yankee Doodle Dandy Papers and Epoxy stickers! Love how it turned out!

it's been a rough year so far, but now we are all beginning to see the light with a new school year and a new job prospect. It's an exciting time for our little family.

and I'm beginning to see the light come back into his eyes again . . . that's a GREAT thing!!

This is my left over make-up from the photo shoot that I did for my hairdresser . . . it was soooo much fun! It was 5 hours of complete and utter fun! Getting my hair and make-up done was a real treat!! Stephen's staff at Salon Salon ROCKS!! They really kept me calm and focused and at ease! It was a lot of fun . . . that is me with my eye make-up and false eyelashes!!

This is Em and I on the first day of school . . . I had my friend snap this before taking her off to class . . . that's my new hair color and cut . . . it's soo cute! She was such a big girl . . . so excited and thrilled to be starting a new experience . . . she's getting to be such a big girl!!

And then . . . I finished off the week with dinner and a photo shoot with this little guy!! He's such a doll baby!! Marcy had the girls and I over for dinner and drinks after the first day of school! It was so great! We relaxed and talked while Paul and the girls played in the sprinklers!! I was able to take several more shots of him while his mama was giving the girls a quick warm up and get the grass off bath! It was a great conclusion to my first week back to work!

These are a few favorites from my visit with my SISTA!! We went on this great 4 miles hike before I had to leave to board the plane. I love how the sun was shining through these leaves.

This is my sista walking and looking through her pictures that she had just taken . . . love that she's multi-tasking and just enjoying herself!!

This was at the 2 mile mark . . . Took this with the timer and my tri-pod was the mile marker! Not the greatest shot . . . but it was a nice reminder of the hike!! I had a blast and I can't wait to see her again!

This above layout is one of my other Craft Warehouse projects. We had to use My Little Shoebox papers to create a layout that will go into a shadow box. The colors of papers are so brilliant .. . I thought they matched perfectly with this picture of my sista!!

We actually had to create 2 layouts that would go into shadow boxes and this is my other layout. I'll admit this layout was really frustrating to put together . . . I just couldn't get the papers to come together in the right way . . . it took me a looonnnngggg time to get this complete!! I think it turned out pretty good in the end though!

I have to say that this one is my personal favorite and I'm sooo sad that it will be going away!! The red flowers are my favorite . . . I added lots of bling to them so they really sparkle!

I am just in awe of the generosity of Craft Warehouse! I'm so lucky to have made this Design Team because they are so great to work with!! The products that I have been able to use have been so awesome! The other girls on the DT are really great as well! I can't wait to send of my projects and get my next one in the mail!!

Craft Warehouse Canvas Project

Oh my goodness . . . I think this has been my favorite Craft Warehouse project so far!! We were given a stack of Pink Paislee papers and some chipboard embellishments along with a 12 x 12 canvas and told to create a piece of home decor!! This project was so up my alley!! I turned the canvas over . . . the back is now the front and vice versa!! It's so much fun to scrap the canvases like that!! I still have 3 more layouts to do which I hope to get started on tomorrow!!

Studio 101 August 1st Challenge . . .

It's been a couple of days . . . I finally got around to photographing the
Studio 101 August 1st Challenge!!
Here's reminder of the challenge info:

1. Use a non-scrapbooking item as an embellishment.
2. Use borders – be inventive! Unusual items as borders, layer them up, funky techniques, anything goes!
3. Combine your journaling with stamping. For example, stamped journal spot, stamp all your journaling with alpha stamps, include stamped images with your journaling – again, anything goes!

I had a lot of fun with this one . . . my non-scrapbooking item is the pennies in the title.

I used stamps as my border!

I also stamped the title . . . I didn't have letters small enough to do all my journaling!!

This is a layout that I completed this morning for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. The products that I used were fairly old . . . a scrap of American Crafts, some Grayson Hall by Collage Press, Jenny Bowling journaling block, Thickers, bling, Tim Holtz distress inks, some bling, and a sharpie!

So, I stumbled upon this totally great site called 52 Sketches . . . 52 Weeks! It's so great! The sketches are amazing!! The layout above is sketch number 29 . . . I may have to go back through and do all the rest!

Yesterday it was a squelching 103degrees and today is not looking like it's going to be any cooler!! I'm bummed because I have to run over to Costco and then drop some stuff off at Goodwill . . . better get in gear before the girls and I get caught up in the HEAT!!

The Studio July 1 Challenge

The Studio is a challenge site that I'm trying out for and the first challenge was this:

Create a layout using supplies you’ve had in your collection for at least 6 months. (If you haven’t been scrapping that long, you’re excused this part!) Your layout should include 2 things: something pleated and the title must also be the title of a rock song.

Below is the page that I created!! It was so much fun! First off, I love this picture of Sophia! I'm not sure why, it just speaks to me!! Hee hee!! The funnest part of the layout was creating the pleated "ribbon". It's actually just a strip of patterned paper that I folded, distressed, and then hand stitched to the paper. I think it turned out quite nicely!!

Field Trip

So, yesterday I figured that we needed a change of pace . . . some fun family time!! So we decided to take a short trip over to the MK Nature Center in Boise!! It was so much fun! The girls loved looking at the fish and taking a walk in the Idaho sun!! It was a beautiful day! The first picture is the girls on the trail!

Em helping her little sis see the waterfall . . . it was so cute watching them work together!

Beautiful big sister . . . so proud of herself!!

The girls and the big fish tank! They loved looking at the fish. I highly recommend this field trip to anyone in the area . . . especially if you have kiddos!! The big plus . .. it's TOTALLY FREE!!

Craft Warehouse Assignment #2 . . .

Okay . . . whew . . . I finally finished!! We had to create a largeDaisy Bucket banner from some Daisy Bucket paper, rub-ons, stamps, and cardstock. We also had to use our supply of Thickers! I love the paper, but I had a lot of trouble figuring out where to even start. My daughter saw the green monster and thought that he looked kind of like Mike from Monsters, Inc. My next step was to check out quotes from the Monsters, Inc. movie. I found one that talked about plaque and brushing teeth. I changed the wording and the above banner was created! It's bright and colorful and I know that a house full of boys would LOVE it!!

We also had to use the Dasiy Bucket papers and stamps to create a card! Lucky, for me this came together quite quickly!! I love that little monster . . . I added stickles to the wings for some SPARKLE!!

Our last part of the assignment was to create a layout from the AWESOME KI Friendship line! We had to use a white piece of the Glitter Lace cardstock, 4 patterned papers, rub-ons, and the Epoxy Alphabet Stickers! I loved creating this layout!! I really think that if I could have used my sewing machine to stitch around the layout it would have added a lot more texture, but my sewing machine is broken! The paint was fun to use though!!

Croppin' Paradise June Project #1

Okay . . . here is my completed first project!! As I mentioned before, I got to use the wonderful Anna Griffin Peyton papers from the Croppin' Warehouse store (http://www.croppinparadise.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=Anna+Griffin+Peyton&Search=Search ) . . . check it out!!

I printed out the pictures on some silver, shimmery cardstock that I have leftover from my wedding invitations 6 years ago!! They turned out pretty cute!! Thanks for looking!

Craft Warehous update . . .

So I was able to send in my first project and I had a lot of fun with it!! On Wednesday, I received my second package which included our fun 2nd project and the rest of the stuff from our Welcome Package!! They are sooo good to their Design Team!! I got a brand new Crop-a-dile, a new Corner Chomper, 4 different Tim Holtz Distressing Inks, a blender, some Glossy Accents, and some more flowers!! It's so cool!! I bought a whole new bin to hold the great stuff and I'm so glad that I did . . . it just keeps getting more and more cool stuff added to it!! I'm trying to nail down my idea for our next project, but I hope to have it done and sent off before I leave for SanDiego on June 30th!

and it's only been 4 days!! I've been doing some cards for a fundraiser that I'm doing for a conference that I'm attending at the end of this month. Whew . . . I don't think I've made so many cards in my whole life . . .but it's been a lot of fun!

This is a layout that I did using my products from the Croppin' Paradise store!! I LOVE the Pink Paislee products!! They are AWESOME!! I mean look at that giant flower!! It's so cool!!
This beauty is a gift that I created for one of the room mothers that volunteered in my class this year! She loved it!!
I also made one for another room mother!! It turned out quite nicely as well! It was so fun!! I just used the front side of a 9 x 12 canvas and some papers. The frames are actually picture frames that I took the back off and adhered to the layout! So easy and inexpensive, too!

Craft Warehouse . . .

Okay . . . here it is . . . the rest of my Craft Warehouse Assignment #1!! Wow . . . it was a lot of work, but it was soo much fun!! I loved it! We got sent an entire Fancy Pants Delight line of patterned papers complete with transparency overlays and journaling blocks. We also were sent a journaling notebook and a set of Delight stamps. We had to use the prodcuts to create a layout, which is featured a couple of posts ago, and then this mini album. The album was a Fancy Pants Mixed Media album. It contained pages made out of chipboard, felt, acrylic. So cool!! The products were so AWESOME!! The pictures are shown with the last page first and the first page last!! My projects are currently in a pizza box waiting to be shipped to Aloha, OR!! I'm so excited about it!! And I'm glad that I'm finished . .. now I've got some teacher gifts to make, a birthday present to make, grades to average, and one more week of school to teach!! Yahoo!!

Okay . . . I hope that you have a few minutes to spare, because I've got a lot to cover!! First of all, the photo above was taken by the uber talented Jennifer Evans (http://createoften.blogspot.com/). Now who's Jennifer you ask? She's one of my fellow Craft Warehouse DT'ers!! This was a picture that she took of all of our stuff that we received from CW. It contained some items for welcoming us to the team and then also stuff for our first assignment . . .it's all so yummy!! I had to go and buy a separate little storage unit (thanks, Jo) to house all of the great scrappy stuff!! I'm about to get started on the first layout as soon as I finish typing this post!

The next 4 pictures are cards that I made using the awesome Papertrey Ink stamp sets: Life and Mother. I made these for my mom, mother-in-law, and grandma for Mother's Day. I also made the box that the notecards were housed in. It's from a Timeless Template that I bought at Patertrey Ink as well. (Check out their site . . . http://www.papertreyink.com/) Their stamps ROCK!!

This is a book that I created using my brand spanking new pink Zutter that my OUTSTANDINGLY generous friend, Jo, bought for me on National Scrapbook Day! I used ideas for it from . . . you guessed it Papertry Ink again!!

Then the next 4 cards are pictures that I designed myself . . . using the stamps again plus some Fancy Pants rub-ons I got at CW. I made Mother's Day cards to go with the card sets.

I've also been busy creating for Croppin' Paradise! I used Pink Paislee Fascinating and Capitvating papers to create this cute layout of Sophia and my brother. I also used Prima flowers, stickles, and Dew Drops as well! My two challenges which are listed below!!

My first challenge is this:
What do you remember about the days when you first started scrapping?! I remember music . . .I can hear any song on the radio and attach it to a memory. Like in junior high, I remember that there was a song by the band Skid Row that always made me think of my first love . . . funny right!! Well, today for me it's all about Adam Lambert on American Idol!! At first I thought he was a little over the top, but then after watching him week after week, getting better and better, he's really grown on me. My challenge to you is find something musical and scrap it!!

And the second challenge is this:
Okay, now this probably will take some of you back to elementary school. I was searching through my "oldest" scrap magazine in the my craft room (a Papercraft issue from 2005) and totally saw something that I knew I had to do!! Remember when you used to dip your fingers in ink and make thumbprint buddies?! I don't know if any of you have every done this . . . but I love to do things like this!! There's a children's author named Ed Emberly who is totally famous for his drawings using fingerprints!! My challenge for you is have fun and get down and dirty with your fingerprints to create a card!

April Projects for Croppin Paradise . . .

I just wanted to share with you my DT projects that I did for the month of April for Croppin' Paradise. I made the cards using making Memories Flower Patch Collection papers and embellishments.
For this layout I used some great paper by Jillibean called Mushroom Soup!! I also used Making Memories embellishments, Prima flowers, and Bo Bunny Chipboard Letters.
Cooking Pancakes was made with papers from the Fetching Collection by Pink Paislee . . . I also threw on some Bazzill Tulle and Felt Fusion by Queen and Co.
This layout was made using Scrapworks Cardstock, Piggy Tales Mary, Mary papers, Felt Fusion, and lots of bling!!
This one is one of my favorties . . . I used Basic Grey Papers from the Eva collection and American Craft Thickers.

Croppin' Paradise Reveal

Okay to start off with . . . the layout above is a layout that I did for Lisa's challenge {found here: http://www.croppinparadise.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6101). It's so fun to scrap in the round!! I love it.
This is the inside of my Easter card that I gave my MIL, my mom, and my grandma. I think they turned out pretty great!!
These are the front . . . I traced the rabbit from a stamped image that I found on-line!!
And this is the back . . . it was fun creating those giant flowers!!

Last, but certainly not least, this is my first layout for Croppin' Paradise!! I love the Jillibean paper that I got to use . . . it's a sheet of kraft paper with those trees!! I thought it would be perfect to use this picture of my "easter bunnies" with!! I think it turned out pretty good!!

This is a new layout that I did for a challenge at Croppin' Paradise and also for one of the Sketch Design Teams that I'm on {Hippy Chick}. It was so fun to work with some many different squares and stickers!! I loved it!!

And Scrap!! Yep . . . that's what I did this weekend. Actually, I first went to my bff's baby shower, cleaned my craft room, and then scrapped until waaayyy past my bed time, but here's what I was able to accomplish . . .

Birthday Card for Marcy . . .

Marcy's birthday is on Wednesday and so today I made her a Birthday card . . . I again used the Kitchen Sink Stamps . . .they are so fun!! I love them!!

I think that it turned out pretty cute!! Today was a fabulous day off . . . I was able to scrap some, bake some, grocery shop, and run errands all with only one kiddo!! So awesome!! I have meetings tomorrow at school and then a short week. The days off are nice, but the short weeks actually seem much longer!! Argh!! Happy Monday!!

Okay . . . I'm a lucky girl!! Because I am on the Sketch Challenge DT, Pamela (the site's moderator/creator) sent each of the members a brand new stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps!! How cool is that?! {Please check out their website: http://www.kitchensinkstamps.com/ } I was sent a set called: Happy Birthday Cupcake!! And let me tell you . . . they were so much fun to play with!! I love how my card turned out and I know that my grandma will love it!!

This layout is another one for Scrapbook Challenges!! I love the cluster
in the lower left hand of the page!! I know that the blue flourishes leap right off the page,
but I just couldn't resist adding them!!

I've spent the day scrapping, making some cards, and hanging out with the girls!! Sophia decided to make it snow corn chips in the living room today . . . basically that was my cue that she probably needed a nap . . . Emma is itching to get back on the computer to play some games!!

argh . . I was NOT prepared for this . . .
had to have a last minute class on proper tooth fairy duties!!

Then there was her concert . . . couldn't get any "great" pictures . . . ARGH!!

So I have been busily making Christmas presents this weekend!! I made 11 of the boxes this weekend. I have to decorate 10 of them still, but it's soo much fun!! The bottom pics are of a project that I'm making for my mom and my mother-in-law! I was totally inspired by the awesome scrapper, Danielle Flanders. She created a similar project and you can see it here:

She makes awesome things and for some reason this project of her's just cried to be lifted in my world! I have one done and I need to finish the other one. I hope that they like them!!

Other than the above, I got my haircut and colored . . . dark!! I love going to the salon! It's always so fun!! Emma is recovered, finally, from the 36 hour flu!! Argh. I hate it when the kiddos are sick!! Hopefully no one else will get sick now! Happy Sunday, Everyone!!

Saw this movie . . .

I thought it was pretty good! Except Jasper was a little odd! I went with a group of friends and had a really great time!! Just finished re-reading the book, too! Now I'm waiting patiently for my sis to come bearing lots of great reads!!

No Turkey Day for us . . .

Sophia and I each came down with a touch of the flu . . . we didn't feel like spreading it around to the family so we just stayed home. So there was no . . .

for me!! Boo hoo! It was nice re-cooperating though . . . although I would have much rather been with the rest of my family!!
I guess that just means that Christmas should be nice and easy!!

Speaking of Christmas . . . our tree is up and decorated and we only had to put 1 ornament to rest!! The girls had so much fun! Whenever we see any kind of lights, Sophia shouts, "CHRISTMAS!!" I love it!!

Okay, call me crazy . . . but I love scrapbooking!! I actually skipped watching Heroes tonight so that I could get this layout finished!! I had an idea . . . a moment of inspiration and I couldn't bear to stop until I had finished! This was my layout into the Scrapwords Star contest.

I'll keep you all updated on my progress . . .I hope that I can at least make it out of Round 1!!

So the cold has made it's way into my brain!!

I totally took my sneak peek pics and then forgot to put them in my blog!!

So without further ado . . . here they are:

I just fell in love with this kit .. . I'll admit . . . I was a little sketchy at first and I was so nervous because the colors are so opposite of what I'm used to working with. In the end . . . I feel like I might just have to order another set of the papers to keep me going!! I loved them so much!!

I so can't wait for the full reveal of the next peek . . . it's one of my most favorite layouts!!

ATC's & a layout

Here are a few projects that I've been working on:

The first 6 are actually ATC cards. They are about 2 x 3" . . . not very big, but neat! I'm participating in 52 weeks of fun hosted by the ever-amazing Jules at 4 Scrappy Sisters. I was 3 weeks behind, but I was able to catch up in one day!! Yeah!!

And this one is just a layout that I did using a Becky Fleck PageMap sketch!

Oh man, did I ever have fun with this kit!! It was soo awesome to create these Halloween themed layouts. Here they are . . .

I've been busy this Labor Day weekend!! I scrapped a whole mini album of my recent trip to see my sis, Monica, in Portland!! It turned out really great. Although I think I'm going to change the way that it's held together so it's a little more user friendly!! I'll post some pics of it later. I just finished this layout this morning for a contest that Becky Fleck is having. You had to take a sketch of her's and create a layout . . . here is mine. I love how it turned out!! The journaling reads: it's the eyes . . . your big brown eyes get me everytime. they are little windows to your soul. they show how you're feeling . . .what you're thinking. your big brown beautiful eyes. i love them and i love you, too!

We go from a beautiful page to a cranky two year old . . . see I was right about those eyes!!

To a serial poser . . . one who loves the camera and loves to have her picture taken!!

Here's another layout that I did using more stuff from the 4SS September kit . . . and guess what . . . I still haven't used everything!! The supplies seem to never end!! I got into the card kit and created several cards, too . . . I just forgot to make pics of them before I gave them away!!
