Two topics with one entry . . .

The question I was asked yesterday was: What was my favorite subject in school? That is easy . .. HISTORY was always my favorite. My favorite subject to teach in school though is math!! I love it!! Which is kind of ironic but my least favorite subject in school was math!! My least favorite subject to teach is reading because of all the strict standards and regulations we seem to be under these days!! Argh!!

The questions I was asked today had to do with five things that are around my computer right now, so here goes:
1. phone
2. old cell phone
3. a candle
4. blank cd's & cd sleeves
5. idea book that I use for journaling and writing down stuff

Other than that I haven't been up to much of anything . . . the girls are desperately awaiting the visit of their beloved Nana today!! It should be a great day . . . Happy Friday Everyone!!

My favorite time of day . . .

well . . . right now I would say after the kids have FINALLY gone to bed it my favorite time of day. My mom, dad, and I built a platform bed for my two rugrats in the hope that they would share a sleeping space to make one of their bedrooms a playroom. Well . . . apparently that was an excellent idea in theory but a horrible one in practice. They do really well a nap time and actually go to sleep fairly well. Bed time is a totally different story!! My youngest is usually the culprit. yesterday she didn't go to sleep until 10:15 p.m. and then quickly leaped right out of bed at 6:00 ready to go!! It's killing me!! The only thing that is saving me is that I'm not working right now!! My only hope is that they get it figured out by August 18th!!

Happy Father's Day . . .

In honor of today, I would like to share some memories about my dad. I remember in high school playing basketball, I could look up in the stands and know that he was watching and would offer praise when I needed it. He was often times one of my biggest fans. I remember him taking me to college with my brother, mom, and sister. He was so proud when he said good-bye and also very quiet. My mom told me later that he didn't say anything for at least 3 hours on their ride home! One day, we had a family BBQ . . .I'm not sure what we were celebrating, but I remember getting ready for something. My dad had a dog names Henry . . . on that day, Henry got hit by a truck. I remember my dad carrying his beloved dog away . . .it was a sight that I won't ever forget.
Now I have many memories of my dad with my own kids! They love him and he loves them right back! I happy to have such a great dad that supports me in all of my endeavors! Happy Father's Day, Dad!!

One thing I want to learn right now is . . .

I would like to know how do more with my camera. I have been able to get some pretty great pictures so far. I would like to have a side business some day photographing babies and families. That would be soooo fun I think. For now, I'm really trying to figure out the ins and outs of my camera. I need to purchase a field guide to my camera . . . I tried to check one out at the library, but they didn't have any!! Now I'm checking out different types of photography books so that I can get inspired! That's something that I want to learn right now!!
